The mission of the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT) is to create a community of counsellors who, working together, will support each other to enhance the quality of life in society by promoting the professional development of competent counsellors, advancing the practice of competency-based counselling and to promote respect for human dignity and diversity.
Registered Therapeutic Counsellors are full, entry-level counsellors and meet the entry-to-practice proficiency to practice, based on the Task Group for Counsellor Regulation Competency Profile.
