Rachel has helped me on more then one occasion for career related issues and relationship/family issues. Whether it be writing a resume from scratch, or narrowing down your focus in making a career change and setting goals and putting together an action plan, Rachel will help you get there. She genuinely likes to help people and has an empathetic nature which is important in a good counsellor/ life skills coach. 2010 was a challenging year for me. I had lost my father, had moved back to Vancouver after travelling abroad, was looking for work and was experiencing personal difficulties. Rachel was the one person I felt I could talk to that would give good guidance in a non-judgmental way. If you are looking to make a career change in your life and don’t know how to get there, Rachel’s the person to help you get there.
I came to see Rachel because I felt stuck in my job and noticed repetitive, destructive patterns in my career. The regular sessions with Rachel have set in motion a whole chain of events that eventually helped me find the answers that were buried inside me. Each time I met with Rachel, I walked away with a new realization or alternative perspective about my career, life and attitudes towards work. Our meetings also made me realize false beliefs I held about myself over many years. Rachel has made this possible by actively listening to me, asking questions and providing me with links to further resources like audiobooks and web pages when appropriate. I wish I had reached out to her earlier and would highly recommend Rachel’s services to anyone seeking career-related advice.
Working with Rachel has given me the confidence to make decisions about my life and career. I was not sure what to expect when we met, but she made it easy to express myself. She helped with many aspects of my personal development and relationships with others at work and at home. Her professionalism, personable attitude and candour is much appreciated. I would recommend Rachel to anyone who is looking to improve their lives personally and professionally.
I highly recommend Rachel’s counselling services. When I was going through a difficult time with my divorce and depression she was an impartial and caring resource that I highly respected. She empathetically listened to my problems and offered suggestions ultimately empowering me to make the best decision for myself!
Rachel creates warmth and is an active listener. I shared my story and really felt that she had heard me. She showed empathy and that is what I needed.
Through her highly skilled counselling, Rachel has enabled me to realize my professional potential and allow my career goals to be realized. Her expert guidance and sound ability to communicate the correct message were key aspects of my sessions with her. She helped to piece together my puzzle with her genuine ability to listen and offer specialized advice when it was necessary.
In the period of time I was guided by Rachel to look at where I am, and where I wanted to be. Through a series of homework assignments I was able to see I needed to change my path in work and everyday living. I learned that I needed to make steps to get a better job, because I was not happy where I was. I also needed to take a step back and embrace my creative side and find a way to make it pay for itself. From this time I had with Rachel I have a new job which is keeping me thinking and very busy, which I really love. I have embraced my Pottery, Jewelry making and I am now taking custom orders and making money on the side, which helps me pay for the hobbies I love. I love what I do for living, but I also love my hobbies and I don’t think I would have had the desire to make the steps I did with out the guidance I received. Thank you Rachel.
With Rachel’s guidance I was able to identify the negative behaviours that were blocking me from advancing in my career. I was given the tools to help myself from going down the same path again.
I am so grateful that I was able to complete these sessions & start this journey with you! This program has definitely saved my job- I would have quit by now if I wasn't guided and supported in exploring my Career & self (values & learning about job crafting & ideal work days etc.)...Our sessions together have definitely exceeded my expectations. I feel a lot more balanced and validated. I know that (currently) I enjoy my job and also have a clearer map of my next steps & how to accomplish my goals- I don't feel trapped or stagnant- it has been an amazing journey of self-discovery & I'm sad that our sessions are at an end (for now!)
So glad our paths have crossed! I am very grateful for you, you have changed my life! I will keep you posted as much as I can that's for sure. I feel very true to myself and honest with you. You bring me joy and comfort feelings!
Rachel’s suggestions and caring support has been invaluable to us as a family when life has thrown some curve balls our way. On a personal basis, Rachel has been instrumental in my decision to fulfill a youthful dream in my twilight years. With Rachel’s support, I feel confident that age is no barrier to taking on study again and I am confident that I will achieve a forgotten goal because Rachel will be there supporting me towards it.
